The Paranormal Dares team is taking on Beattie Mansion for a night of investigation and you’re invited to come along. You’ll use cutting-edge technology as you explore the mansion top to bottom in search of entities, spirits, and residual activity from the people who called the mansion home.
Armstrong and Eliza Beattie built the home in 1854 and resided there until their deaths in 1878 and 1880. Many in the area report seeing a woman peering out the windows after her death as the house sat empty. Those who have been brave enough to explore the building report feeling, sensing, and seeing the spirit of a woman watching over the home.
The residence was then sold to the Ladies Union Benevolent Association, who used the mansion as a ‘home for the friendless’. The people who resided in the home were those without family or options for a better life. It is believed that their spirits hold on to the only refuge they knew in their difficult lives.
At the time of Armstrong’s death, there was much debate on how exactly his final days came to pass. The coroner ruled the death a result of cholera, but his symptoms and health decline were so fast, it’s hard to be sure. Did someone want this prominent figure in the town taken out? Was someone looking to gain from his death? Join us to uncover the many secrets about the mansion during our investigation.
Will we hear Armstrong whistling as his spirit roams the halls? Will Eliza show herself and protect the estate she worked so hard to maintain? Come and investigate for yourself…if you dare.
